As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and people-focused Head of Human Resources to strengthen our HR function, support our leadership team, and build scalable people practices across the organisation.
About the Role
The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for leading the overall HR function at Teams Squared, with a strong focus on employee relations, organisational development, compliance, performance, culture, and people strategy.
This role will work closely with the executive and management teams to ensure that HR practices support business growth while maintaining a fair, professional, supportive, and compliant working environment.
The successful candidate will provide senior-level guidance on complex and sensitive employee matters while also overseeing the development of effective HR systems, policies, and processes across our global workforce.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Leadership
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
Advise the executive and management teams on workforce planning, organisational structure, people risks, and employee-related decisions.
Lead the development of a scalable HR function that supports the company’s continued growth.
Define clear responsibilities, workflows, and escalation processes within the HR team.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and development support to junior and mid-level HR team members.
Employee Relations and Sensitive Matters
Lead the management of formal complaints, grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, and employee relations concerns.
Handle highly sensitive and confidential employee matters with discretion, fairness, and professionalism.
Support management in making appropriate and legally informed decisions relating to performance, conduct, termination, and workplace concerns.
Establish clear procedures for handling complaints, investigations, and escalations.
Promote a respectful, inclusive, and psychologically safe working environment.
Performance and Development
Oversee the company’s performance management framework, including probation reviews, 30-60-90-day check-ins, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
Support managers in delivering constructive feedback and addressing performance concerns.
Develop learning, development, leadership, and succession planning initiatives.
Identify capability gaps and recommend appropriate training or development programmes.
Policies, Compliance and Governance
Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
Ensure HR practices comply with relevant employment requirements across the countries in which Teams Squared operates.
Support the company’s ISO 27001 and wider compliance requirements from an HR perspective.
Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence relating to onboarding, offboarding, training, policy acknowledgements, performance, and employee matters.
Ensure employee and contractor information is handled securely and confidentially.
Recruitment and Workforce Planning
Provide strategic oversight of recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
Work with hiring managers and recruitment teams to identify workforce needs and improve hiring outcomes.
Support the development of consistent selection, assessment, onboarding, and probation processes.
Review recruitment data and workforce trends to support business planning.
Culture and Engagement
Develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, communication, retention, and company culture.
Work with leadership to ensure company values are reflected in day-to-day people practices.
Review employee feedback and engagement data and recommend improvements.
Support initiatives that connect and engage a globally distributed workforce.
HR Operations and Systems
Oversee core HR operations, including employee records, onboarding, offboarding, performance documentation, and HR reporting.
Improve HR systems, processes, and reporting to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
Establish clear HR metrics and provide regular people-related reports to leadership.
Ensure HR processes are documented, scalable, and consistently followed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Employment Relations, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
Professional HR qualification such as CIPD, SHRM, AHRI, or an equivalent qualification would be highly regarded.
At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience in a senior HR leadership role.
Strong experience handling employee relations, complaints, investigations, disciplinary matters, and sensitive workplace issues.
Demonstrated experience advising senior management and executive teams.
Strong understanding of HR governance, performance management, organisational development, and compliance.
Experience working with remote, offshore, professional services, legal, or internationally distributed teams would be advantageous.
Excellent communication, judgement, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of discretion, integrity, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
Ability to balance strategic leadership with practical, hands-on HR support.
