Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Paralegal to support an Australian legal practice on a part-time basis. This role is suited for a mid-to-senior level legal support professional with strong Australian legal practice experience and the confidence to manage both administrative and client-facing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating directly with clients while supporting employment law matters in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and paralegal support across employment law matters.

• Answer incoming calls and manage client communications professionally.

• Conduct follow-up calls and respond to client emails in a timely manner.

• Assist with document preparation, proofreading, and file management.

• Prepare WIP (Work in Progress) status reports for clients.

• Support invoicing and general administrative processes.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure files are updated consistently.

• Assist lawyers with day-to-day matter coordination and workflow management.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within an Australian legal practice is essential.

• Experience supporting employment law matters is highly preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong proofreading and attention-to-detail capabilities.

• Comfortable handling client-facing responsibilities professionally and confidently.

• Experience using legal practice management software is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Smokeball is a plus.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a remote environment.
