Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong exposure to US accounting standards and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing accounting functions for US-based companies, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance support. Experience working remotely with international teams and familiarity with US accounting software and processes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for US-based clients.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.

• Support payroll processing and expense management.

• Ensure compliance with US accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.

• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and finance teams when required.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and support financial efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience supporting US-based businesses or clients.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices.

• Experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• CPA certification or ongoing CPA studies is a plus.
